About

"Sometimes the most brilliant and intelligent students do not shine in standardized tests because they do not have standardized minds." ~Diane Ravitch Standardized tests are nobody's favorite thing. Luckily, some great changes have been made to the ACT and SAT recently that make them more bearable. While these tests aren't entirely necessary, they are valuable data points that can help boost your standing, elevate your chances of getting into the colleges or universities of your choice, and open up more scholarship opportunities. My philosophy on these tests is that they're not something unique that you necessarily need to study for on their own. All these tests do is quiz your knowledge of things you've probably already learned in school, mostly math, reading, and writing. By the time you take these tests, ideally you've seen most of this stuff before. For that reason, look around at other sections for more supplemental material, but there's always plenty of helpful and directed information right here about the format of these tests and important concepts to know before going into them.
