What is life? How are things alive? What does it mean to be alive? What is the purpose of life? Biology (and maybe a little philosophy) seek to answer these questions. It's important to remember that we share this Earth with so many other types of life forms. There is so much life all around us, and it is absolutely our duty to respect and protect it to the best of our ability. In order to have a meaningful relationship with this Earth and coexist here peacefully with our environment, we must start by developing an understanding of biology and the miracle of life.
