About
"If every economist were laid end to end, they'd still never reach a conclusion." ~George Bernard Shaw In my opinion, economics is a funny field of study. Many economic models and forecasts are almost entirely based around rationality, AKA the belief that producers and consumers will make rational decisions based on certain scenarios. As a pretty rational person, I love this idea. But one thing that's clear from thousands of years of history: people aren't very rational! This means that many of the basic models are great ideas and make sense in theory. However, they often don't accurately reflect reality for a variety of different reasons. Nonetheless, economics is still an important field of study, and understanding how the world interacts with and revolves around money will give you better skills and literacy regarding the financial sector. Money talks, so know its language!
